Working with groups
Designing your own training courses
Trying to design a training course can be a daunting prospect. Deciding which information to include and what to leave out can be confusing and designing exercises for people you’ve never met can be overwhelming. This practical course looks at all aspects of training course design and how to make training appropriate to the audience. This course will also include information for anyone needing to design courses for accrediting bodies.
Developing your training skills
This course is for those already developing and delivering training to groups, who want to improve their performance and develop their skills. It is a practically based day that explores the skills involved, and looks at how to make your training stand out and become memorable to those who attend. Although this course is designed for anyone who delivers training to others, it will also be useful to those starting out in training.
Facilitation skills
The course is aimed at people who are facilitating workshops, conferences and consultation events and meetings. It will be packed with hints and tips on maximising facilitation performance, including how to deal with challenging participants, and will give you the opportunity to develop your own style. The event will benefit anyone working with groups of people in formal or informal settings.
Group dynamics and behaviour
Ever wonder why some groups do things, some groups talk about doing things and some individuals fail to work successfully? This course examines the theory and practice of group work. It will provide an opportunity to explore motivations of group members, identify how different ways of behaving can impact on groups and develop strategies for working more effectively with others. |
