Time management

A practical course for those who want to get on top of their workload and get more balance in their lives. It will enable participants to prioritise their work tasks and understand their responsibilities. In addition to looking at your own time management you’ll also have the opportunity to consider where time gets wasted and working with others who have poor time management.

Creative thinking

Creative thinking is often overlooked as a key technique in organisational development. We use phrases like ‘thinking out of the box’ but then revert back to thinking in it as soon as things get difficult. This course will cover techniques to look at where creativity comes from and how it is defined. We’ll look at why some people are creative and others struggle; explore techniques to becoming more creative and methods of approaching creative practices in the workplace. In addition to helping participants think creatively we’ll also focus on how, as new creative thinkers, we can encourage others to join us.

The event will benefit anyone who needs to find new solutions to old problems, or who wants to help others in their organisation think and work more creatively.

Negotiation and influencing

This course explains the theory and practice of entering into successful negotiation. It will cover models and principles of negotiation and give you the opportunity to practise and develop your own skills and techniques. This event will be of particular benefit to those who struggle to negotiate and/or find influencing others. It will also be particularly relevant for those situations where there is a power imbalance in the negotiation relationship such as in negotiations with your manager or your funder.
